: This position is responsible for operating a pallet tipping machine and for manually pulling slates from stacked cases of product.

Job Synopsis: A deslater operates and pallet tipping machine to aid with the removal of slates. Slates, commonly known as waffles, are placed between stacked case layers to enhance freezing by allowing air to contact each side of the box. However, these slates can not be shipped, and it is the responsibility of the deslater to manually remove the slates once a pallet has been tipped. The tipping of a pallet helps to free the slates for easy removal from between the case layers. stacking, running a forklift. Weight up to 40lbs. damp, cold working conditions and all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
