Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Litigation practice in our Wilmington office.
Applicants should be multi-task oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: supporting attorneys and paralegals in the Litigation section by creating, proofing, editing, revising, and printing correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents; conferring with clients; maintaining calendars; and managing files.
Applicants should be able to type 65 wpm and possess strong grammar and punctuation skills. Successful candidates will be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A minimum of an Associate's Degree preferred and 1 to 3 years of experience in a professional services environment required. Accounting or banking experience a plus.
We offer a generous $2500 sign-on bonus for our Legal Administrative Assistants.
