Description

The Network Administration Technician 3 provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network; tests and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers. The Network Administration Technician 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

Humana is seeking a Network Administration Technician 3 that:

Installs, supports and/or maintains LANs and/or WANs; evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades.

Performs technical analyses of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations.

Monitors data traffic and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.

Identifies, diagnoses and resolves technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software.

Makes decisions that typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects.

Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

1 - 3 years of experience in Network Administration

1 - 2 years of leadership experience

Experience providing technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network

Experienced testing and analyzes network facilities, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field

Networking related Certification
