Senior Counsel, Employment Law
Duties: Provide pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of employee and labor relations issues, which may include human resource issues, wage and hour law, labor relations, FMLA matters, employee benefits legal and compliance matters, employment-related litigation, grievances and arbitrations and policy compliance. Assist in drafting policies, best practices, guidelines, tools, and programs that align with and advance the Company's strategy, values, and business goals. Collaborate with human resources teams to update existing and implement new programs, processes, policies, and procedures as needed. Assist in the management and resolution of complex employee relations issues. Provide legal counsel to business partners on a wide range of strategic business issues and day-to-day operational matters. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business and HR partners, law department members, as well as external stakeholders. Monitor compliance with new federal, state, and local labor and employment laws. Keep the company's senior management informed of significant labor and employment decisions, legislation, and regulatory rulings that may affect the company's business or policies. Manage with the assistance of external counsel day-to-day employment-related litigation.
