Legislative/Regulatory Paralegal
The candidate will work with a team to assist with legal research of regulatory and compliance issues, monitoring of bills and regulations, assist counsel with legislative and regulatory testimony and advocacy, track implementation of enacted laws, compliance reporting, coordinating work with lobbyists, trade associations, and government affairs, assist with grass roots efforts, and follow public policy activities. Candidates should possess significant attention to detail, critical thinking and judgment skills, accountability, relationship-building and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities and work independently. The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Prior experience as a paralegal, paralegal degree/certificate/certification, or relevant coursework or legal studies degree is required. Experience with legislative/regulatory duties. Technical proficiency with database usage, electronic document management, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
