Coordinator III, Development Programs (Gift Planning and University/Regional Development)

The candidate will provide varied and highly technical administrative support to the Senior Director of the Office of Gift Planning and the Director of Development for the Office of University and Regional Development, with significant emphasis on more complex administrative responsibilities, including: prepares tax and estate-planning-related charitable tax deductions; monitors database for quality control; generates reports; creates and maintains records of prospects, contacts, and constituents; prepares itineraries and coordinates travel arrangements; plans and organizes events; receives and resolves inquiries and problems. Will speak intelligibly to potential donors regarding various planned giving instruments. Should have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Accounting, Financial Planning, Finance, or a related field. Should have 4+ years of experience in public relations work and general office operations. Knowledge of fundamental concepts obtained through work in planned giving, fundraising, financial planning, finance, accounting, investment management, legal environment, or insurance is an advantage. Advanced degrees in lieu of experience will be considered. Completion of paralegal training is a plus. Prior experience with tax, financial or legal instruments, strong analytical, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills are preferred. Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word and e-mail software are strongly desired.
