The candidate will coordinate settlements with purchasers/settlement companies after public auctions of real property: Review HUD settlement statements for accuracy; Prepare draft Trustee’s Deed and Trustee’s Certification; Notarize Deeds and Affidavits; Transmit completed settlement packages to settlement company after approval and execution. Maintain sales pipeline, client communications, and distributions of proceeds of sale: Collect contracts and deposits from trustees and send to accounting; Complete events in client systems, draft chronologies, respond to document inquiries; Prepare proceeds packages to client. Track post-sale documents necessary to prepare Account of Sale for Commissioner of Accounts: Track and monitor invoices on total debt files; Request reimbursements for clients upon receipt; Track recorded deeds. should have 1-3 years administrative support experience, preferably in a law firm or title company environment. Experience with real estate sales, settlements, or real estate law highly desired. Virginia notary commission preferred, eligibility for Virginia notary commission required.
