Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer

The candidate will ensure the successful ongoing operation of supported applications and databases. Promptly troubleshoot and resolve application issues and manage job/ticket queues and scheduled events. Manage application user accounts and allocate licenses in coordination with Asset Management. Administer and optimize SQL databases and ensure peak database performance and availability. Perform all necessary application testing and work with vendors and business owners for routine updates, enhancements and version upgrades. Recognize patterns in reported incidents, diagnose underlying root causes and devise timely and effective workaround where necessary. Participate in the planning, testing and production implementation phases of application and database systems. Recommend and manage application improvements, updates, upgrades, enhancements and maintenance. Create and maintain documentation for each application and associated databases. Adhere to existing ITIL processes and methodology. Support applications during off hours when required. Additional projects and duties, as assigned. Four-year degree in Information Technology or related discipline; comparable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree is required. Should have 3-5 years of experience supporting and administering a SharePoint Farm environment. Should have 5+ years of experience in application support with SQL database management, including database sizing, troubleshooting and performance tuning. Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office product suite is required. Law firm experience and knowledge of legal applications (i.e. DMS, Elite Enterprise, InterAction, Intapp, iManager, and viDesktop) is preferred. Additional technical training or relevant vendor certifications are highly desirable.
