Storage Administrator

Profile

We have an exciting opportunity for a

Storage Administrator

to join our team. The storage administrator will be part of a team designing, implementing, and support a cloud-based migration from an on-prem datacenter to the cloud. They will have responsibility for defining all aspects of the solution, including backup and restore functions as well as disaster recovery.

Required Experience/Skills:

3 years of relevant experience

Experience migrating storage (along with applications and/or databases) to an AWS cloud environment.

Experience with cloud storage technologies, including Amazon S3 and EBS.

Candidates must possess good written and verbal communication skills as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.

Knowledge of cloud migration and hosting concepts and principles.

Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident

Desired Experience/Skills:

Experience with VM Ware Cloud (VMC) a plus

Education:

Associate's degree in computer related field required. Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred.
