Tax Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax work. Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience at Am Law 200 firms and a high level of academic achievement. An LL.M. in tax law is advantageous, and admission to the State Bar of California is mandatory.

Duties:

• Provide expert tax advice on partnership, real estate, and corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documents, including opinions, memoranda, and agreements.
• Develop and implement tax planning and compliance strategies for clients.
• Conduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and case law to support client needs.
• Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to resolve complex tax issues.
• Represent clients in discussions and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Manage and prioritize multiple client projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and their implications for clients.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience.
• Experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters.
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience with Am Law 200 law firms is preferred.
• High level of academic achievement.
• An LL.M. in tax law is helpful.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• An LL.M. in tax law is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
