The Healthcare Administrative Associate prioritizes and performs clerical duties to maintain basic front office workflow functions vital to the effective and efficient functioning of the medical practice, clinic, and/or department. High customer service and multi-tasking skills are essential in this role. Applicant needs to be able to be flexible with daily workflow changes and adapt to new priorities frequently due to patient schedule changes/patient appointment cancellations and staffing modifications. Applicant needs to be able to meet operational challenges to ensure patients are scheduled and maintain sleep center capacities.

The Healthcare Administrative Associate job duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

*Greets, screens, and provides service to patients and visitors *Processes mail, faxes and other documents *Maintains multi-line phone system/switchboard *Schedules, registers, check in/out patients *Maintain medical records *Performs data management, spreadsheet functions *Runs and maintains reports *Performs charge entry *Processes billing documents and researches and resolves issues *Collects co-payments, deductibles, and other self-pay amounts at time of service *Maintains cash box and receipt books

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of two years prior experience in a physician office/medical office, data processing and/or with multi-line telephones preferred. Previous registration and/or medical insurance experience preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be customer driven, have strong grammar, spelling and punctuation skills, knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of office procedures and equipment, proficiency in computer data entry/keyboarding, ability to use electronic medical records and good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.  Knowledge of Microsoft software applications preferred (Word, Excel).  Ability to multi-task essential.
