Director Licensing
The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the implementation of processes and procedures related to licensing as dictated by the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction within which the company operates. Supervise the licensing department, oversee its core licensing functions, the Company’s privileged licenses (gaming, lottery, alcohol, tobacco, suitability, etc.) in all jurisdictions where the Company conducts business or it is otherwise required. Set strategic vision, long term goals, and objectives for the licensing team, in direct partnership with the Senior Vice President Legal. Advise internal stakeholders and vendors on licensing requirements across jurisdictions, acting as the primary point of contact for vendor procurement process. Review licensing and reporting requirements in controls and regulations. Maintain frequent and professional communication with gaming regulatory bodies. Oversee and monitor schedules for regulatory reports in multiple jurisdictions. Prepare and timely submit reports to regulatory agencies by proscribed deadlines. Manage outside counsel and Senior Licensing Coordinators to assist Executives and Key Individuals with the completion and submission of license applications, as well as responses to follow up requests from regulatory agencies, and the interview experience. Implement and utilize software to support licensing function. Act as liaison between the Company, regulatory agencies, senior executives, team members, and attorneys on all matters concerning appropriate licensing for the Company. Provide support to all other departments as required. Maintain absolute custody, control, and confidentiality of all information encountered during the course of work. Other duties as assigned. College degree plus 5 years of experience in licensing/compliance in highly regulated industry, OR very extensive expertise in licensing/compliance in highly regulated industry or graduate degree or JD plus work relevant work experience in high volume regulated work environment. This is a elevated, professional level position and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to interact professionally, diplomatically, and effectively with Company executives, attorneys and government authorities from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Must be a highly motivated individual that can work with little supervision and manage competing priorities in an unstructured, dynamic environment. Prior exposure to various Corporate departments preferred. Related experience in Regulatory Compliance, Internal Controls, Internal Audit and/or gaming regulatory or licensing experience preferred. Excellent writing and oral communication skills required. Excellent project management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, web-based applications and document management including Workshare DataView document comparison, Adobe Acrobat document conversion and document scanning required.
