KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Tax Technology Support to join our Tax Technology practice.
Responsibilities:
Lead and serve as escalation resource for tax software support specialists, in accordance with established service level agreements, with continuous focus on identifying ways to improve support procedures for applications; evaluate current practices, recognize problems, document improved procedures, and train support specialists
Work closely with the tax software product and development teams to determine fixes and/or workarounds for bugs reported by users; clearly articulate the impact of any open bugs to assist with prioritization decisions; document production bug fixes, as necessary
Obtain deep technical understanding of KPMG tax applications and process knowledge
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to identify potential enhancements
Serve as fill-in support specialist as needed when Senior Associate Level staff is not available
Qualifications:
Minimum four years of recent corporate tax-technical experience with a software support/customer service focus within a professional services/accounting firm
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred
Strong analytical (problem-solving) skills, interest in technology, and aptitude for quickly learning intricacies of software applications; ONESOURCE and CorpTax experience preferred
Ability to balance high-paced competing demands, with flexibility to work extended daily and weekend schedule during busy seasons to support end users
Proven ability to teach others how to review and address tax-technical application questions and issues with experience in team leadership
Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, collaboration, critical, diagnostic and creative thinking skills to thrive in an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
