The candidate will be providing daily research and support to a supervisory attorney including maintaining and organizing the calendar, appealing property values, and data entry. Providing daily support to supervisor. Heavy research. Department billing. Tracking appeal deadlines. Appealing property values, which includes gathering and entering property values and tax rates into the database. Preparing paperwork for appeal (i.e., form, cover letter, etc.). Coordinating hearings internally and working with various local officials to coordinate hearings all over the nation. Reporting personal property tax values to various local governments, which includes filing the personal property rendition. Managing our database of electronic client files. Generating client reports as requested. Answering and routing incoming phone calls. Processing mail and incoming correspondence. Should have a Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Science or Business & Management preferred). Should have 2+ years of office experience. Minimum Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and research. Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, be organized and detail-oriented, self-starter, and have strong interpersonal skills. Financial or accounting background preferred. Some legal would be helpful.
