Description
The Pharmacy Contracting Professional is responsible for invoicing, payment reconciliation, and administration of Humana Specialty Pharmacy's enhanced services contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers. The Pharmacy Contracting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Contracting Professional contracts and works closely with internal pharmacy leaders and external pharmaceutical companies. Works internally to understand contracts, collate data, send invoices to pharmaceutical manufacturers, and ensure correct accruals and adjustments on accounting ledgers. Works externally to ensure payment and resolve payment disputes. Makes decisions on moderately complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
3 yrs of finance experience; preferably a background working in a clinical or pharmacy setting.
Strong financial acumen with proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and follow in a timely manner
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills
Previous account management, project management or related experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in finance
Pharmacy claims experience
Licensed Pharmacy Technician
2 or more years of technical healthcare, pharmacy, or invoicing experience
