Junior Commercial and Corporate Counsel
The candidate will provide various general corporate and commercial legal services to in-house clients and stakeholders. Through Lucid’s Deal Desk, prepare, negotiate, bring to close and administer Software as a Service (SaaS) and other sales contracts. Assist in providing counsel and expertise on employment and immigration law, IP, data privacy and contract management. Partner closely with Lucid’s compliance team in reviewing, negotiating and processing vendor contracts and agreements. Assist in managing and supporting legal business matters as they relate to the widespread organization, such as the development of corporate organization, policies, procedures and best practices. Assist in managing and supporting Lucid’s various foreign entities from a legal compliance perspective. J.D or LLM Degree required. License to practice law in Texas, Louisiana, New York or Minnesota required. 2 years experience at a law firm, in-house legal department or government agency negotiating both sales and vendor agreements required. Demonstrated success in drafting, reviewing and negotiating various legal contracts required. Excellent communicator (written and verbal), transparent and open to feedback required. Intense attention to detail, with a proclivity for improving processes required. Ability to thrive independently in a fast paced, energetic environment and prioritize at times of high-volume with good judgment and problem solving capabilities required. Highly proficient in various business software and applications (MS Officer, SalesForce, ServiceNow, DocuSign, Confluence, etc.) and the ability to easily adopt and learn new technologies and systems required. Experience in dealing with privacy matters, including CIPP, and other corporate areas a plus.
