Best Buy’s Digital & Technology team is seeking an Associate Software Engineer I - Web Services, who will participate in delivering engineering solutions that address critical business needs within the Financial Services capability. This role provides solutions to accept and process payment data for all channels including Retail Stores and Best Buy dotcom across the US and Canada. This role will work within the product model, collaborating with the product team(s) to develop solutions that consistently deliver working software of incremental business value for our strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities of the Associate Software Engineer I - Web Services:

Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle

Work with technical leads, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders

Embrace Best Buy’s Cloud strategy and initiatives to modernize the technology stack in the Financial Services capability

Participate in code reviews

Bring a passion for building top-quality products and services

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree, coding boot camp/code school certification, OR, an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Exposure to modern front-end libraries/frameworks such as ReactJS, NodeJS, or other JavaScript frameworks

Exposure to C#, .Net, and REST APIs

Knowledge of NoSQL as well as relational databases

Ability to interact within small and large groups
