Description

ESS Business Intelligence is an Enterprise Shared Services team focused on data, reporting and data science supporting Humana's Service Operations. The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer's experience.

This position will work within the Advanced Analytics team, as part of the broader ESS Business Intelligence organization. This team is focused on Data Science, Data Consulting, Data Visualization and Reporting.

Responsibilities

The Business Intelligence Lead will work in support of data reporting and dashboard design with our KLS partners and assist with horizontal data efforts. This role will prioritize work assignments as well as contribute in design and development efforts. This role will advise and exercise independent judgement of various factors to align to best course of action and decision making on complex issues regarding tasks and works under minimal supervision.

The Business Intelligence Lead within Enterprise Shared Services helps to solve complex business problems and issues by creating insights for our business partners. ESS BI is seeking a Business Intelligence Lead to support our reporting and dashboard request for Knowledge and Learning Systems (KLS) as well as assist with horizontal data efforts. As part of the ESS BI team, your responsibilities could primarily involve the following:

Lead and support healthcare analytics visualization projects

Work collaboratively to design, build and maintain ESS BI data visualization standards for our customers

Work collaboratively to optimally apply data warehouse, cloud and BI architecture, data science and visualization tools and techniques (i.e. dashboards)

Identify and understand business and clinical issues to map these issues into quantitative questions

Coordinate the integration of data to determine trends and impact

Work with complex health care databases to produce statistical output and interpret results

Communicate insights and analytical findings to a broad range of audiences

Use PowerBI tools including visualizations, data flows, etc.

Understanding healthcare related data

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 4 years of experience

2 or more years of project and/or people leadership experience

Experience with Cornerstone (CSOD) and/or other Learning Management Software

Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs

Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data

Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems

Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Experience with medical/clinical claims and/or pharmacy claims
