Litigation Paralegal
The candidate will be working with internal and external attorneys on legal claims and litigation matters. Heavy focus on all aspects of document collection and management, including managing complex e-discovery projects, administering litigation holds and counseling clients on records retention issues. General Support for NXP worldwide for patent, securities, antitrust, contract, trademark, tort, employment, and general business disputes. Extensive work on witness identification and preparation for depositions, hearings and trials. Primary intake for subpoenas and other document requests. Collaborate with attorneys on outside counsel management. Collaborate with IT on document collection and record retention issues. Strong skills in e-billing, record review (e.g., Relativity), internal communication (e.g., TEAMS), information processing (WORD/EXCEL) preferred. High volume and ‘fast-paced’’ flow of substantive work that demands efficient and quality-oriented responses. Critical thinking & problem solving is a must. Work in proactive, agile, collaborative, effective and creative ways to provide solutions daily to urgent and unexpected problems and deadlines. Ability to manage assigned work and prioritize on-the spot support. Be able to work across regions and time zones due to the global nature of the company with respect for cultural differences. Candidates need strong social and communication skills to interact with co-workers in a global company and explain various legal matters. Interested in Legal Technology and Law. Ability to work well in a support function potentially interacting with all other organizations within the company including Sales, Procurement, Marketing, Finance and Businesses. Excited by technology and ability to utilize various software systems. Ability to lead change regarding legal tools and technology. Candidates who have a Bachelors or Associates Degree who also possess an accredited Paralegal certificate. Paralegal Certification is preferred. Extensive experience with document collection, review and production, including various software hosting platforms preferred. Must have 5-10 years of paralegal litigation experience; 3-5 years experience working In-House with large corporation highly valued.
