Sleep DME Specialist','202295','Sleep DME Clinic','Washington-Seattle','Days','40 hours per week','40 hours per week','7:00a - 5:30p','7:00a - 5:30p','Tuesday - Friday','Tuesday - Friday','','','!*!In this Sleep Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Specialist role you will be responsible for filling prescriptions for airway devices and supplies, including provision of patient education. Provide support to patients to maximize adherence to therapy and ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
Under the direction of the Medical Director of the Sleep Disorders Center (SDC), fill prescriptions for airway devices on an appointment or drop-in basis: Configure positive airway pressure (PAP) devices, perform mask fittings, and educate patients regarding PAP therapy and use of equipment and supplies. Follow up with patients to ensure proper operation of devices.
Answer and return phone calls from established patients, providing continuing support and troubleshooting to maximize patient adherence to therapy.
Monitor and maintain inventory of proper supplies and equipment. Ensure services (e.g., mask re-fitting, equipment troubleshooting) are available to provide high-quality patient care.
Work with patients and Finance to obtain pre-authorizations for DME equipment and supplies
Responsible for documenting equipment and supply rental/sales into the EMR, ensuring timely and accurate billing of supplies and services rendered.
Assist the Sleep Lab by performing instruction/patient education of Home Sleep Apnea Testing in the various Service Line locations.

','!*!Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program with 2 years’ experience in Sleep Disorders Medicine or applicable experience required. Must have a valid WA state Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
Two or more years’ experience filling prescriptions for PAP devices preferred.
