Job Description Summary
The Enterprise SDLC team is transforming the way Bank of the West builds software by providing standardized best practices for management of the complete lifecycle of software at the bank. This is a cross-functional team designed to increase the speed and quality of delivery while seamlessly integrating security and compliance into how software is delivered. Primarily, but not exclusively, supports the business line strategic planning and program implementation. Conducts decision-making research for the Business Line/Division Head. Implements strategy and helps identify business line/division issues early and recommends solutions. Responsible for supporting an array of activities that advance the strategic vision of the line of Business / Group. Partners closely work closely with leadership in driving strategic initiatives.

Processes activities that include approach definition, data gathering, researching trends, project implementation, and, if required, contribute to communication strategy design and delivery.
Performs various other duties such as dashboard development, marketing and content development,activity reporting, researching trends, and other ad hoc requests. Develops and maintains business cases for projects, tools & templates.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborate within the team and across BotW to help iteratively build and maintain the SDLC process
Assesses effectiveness and ease of implementation of different processes
Gathers requirements from different stakeholders, including security, compliance, and operations
Develop assessments showing each team's level of SDLC maturity
Maintain guides and process documentation
Advises technology teams on best practices
Stays abreast of relevant activities and technology implementations across BOTW
Performs additional duties as assigned
Performs strategy formulation, development, implementation, and evaluation to advance the operational success of the Group.
Performs analyses of financial, economic, managerial and operational data; this includes development and use of dashboards, performance indicators and metrics.
Identifies desired results and provides forecasting / development for achievement of those results.
Develops proposals for, or refinements of, and advocates for an integrated strategic planning process; helps implement and further refine the approved process.
Analyzes strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats; establishes long-term organizational objectives and strategies to achieve these objectives.
Develops supporting action plans and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, recommends allocation of resources to work toward objectives, monitors deployment of approved resources (such as capital, labor and equipment, including technology) and facilitating mechanisms (such as motivation and deployment of personnel, condition of management information and financial systems vis-à-vis strategic support), and reviews/refines strategies and implements corrective actions.
Reviews, and recommends improvement of business plans, processes and operations; this includes assessment of organizational readiness for, and exercise of, operational agility and flexibility.

5 years building enterprise software in an Agile methodology (this may be as a software developer, project or business analyst, or similar role)
Extensive knowledge of modern DevSecOps practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to synthesize information from different sources
Strong research and discovery skills
Ability to present to a wide range of audiences
Familiarity with Lean systems thinking
Bias toward automation
Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Skills
Experience in data analysis and/or business development
Strong willingness and demonstrated ability to work with data, interpret trends, and present findings to project stakeholders
Strong ability balance numerous time-sensitive requests
Ability to exercise independent judgment, creativity, and initiative
Acute attention to detail and ability to produce polished deliverables
Excellent ability to write content and deliver clear messaging (written and oral communication)
Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Lean management, preferred but not required

Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Experience in data analysis data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality./or business development

Right-Shoring Office:
Strategic assessment ; perform financial modeling to support business cases (NPV, RofR, Payback period)
Gather and analyze information, formulate & test hypotheses and develop / communicate recommendations
Support the aggregation of project financials across the RSO portfolio
Report to leadership on location strategy analysis and reporting
Manage risks and issues repository and track mitigation and resolutions
Maintain tools / templates (SharePoint / Excel)

As part of the Enterprise Data Management CAO office, responsible for focusing on a range of initiatives that support process improvement, change management and communication activities.
Be able to successfully navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
Strong experience with developing diverse communication channels including digital platforms
Performs mathematical and statistical analyses of financial, economic, managerial and operational data; this includes development and use of mathematical models to assist in planning and decision making.
Monitors changing regulations, demographics, economics and other external factors to assess external opportunities and threats in terms of current/future business strategies.
Ability to engage in both strategic design and tactical implementation
