Nucor is seeking interns with a desire to learn, grow and be an integral member of the Finance and Accounting Teams at a Nucor facility. This is an opportunity for someone with an interest in learning more about the accounting process and how it works in the steel industry. Nucor seeks financial professionals that have an entrepreneurial mindset, high level of ownership and a desire to lead outside of the finance department. Nucor interns will have the opportunity to be part of a team of other interns, as well as other Accounting and Finance teams across our company. Interns will also have the opportunity to interact with and learn from other departments at our facilities and get exposure to leadership at multiple levels.
The internship will consist of ongoing divisional assignments to provide exposure to the month end close and typical financial reporting process as well as various projects based on divisional needs. In addition to divisional responsibilities, interns will have the opportunity to be part of a team of other interns across the company to work on a special project to drive value and efficiency across multiple divisions.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.


This is a 40 hour/week paid internship. Pay is based upon previous internship or work experience. 

Minimum Qualifications:

1.    Must be attending an accredited university seeking a High school in Accounting or a related field.  Must also be actively working towards a four year degree.
2.    Must be willing/able to work scheduled and unscheduled over time if required based upon month end closing schedules.
