SUMMARY
Under the direction of the VP of Shareholder Development and in collaboration with the CARES Act support team, in accordance with BSNC guidelines, policies, and federal
laws, this position shall provide leadership support in areas related to the CARES Act. The CARES Act Liaison shall manage shareholder inquiries and requests in coordination with the CARES Act support team. The CARES Act Liaison is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material and must be able to effectively communicate via phone and email in a professional manner. This position requires great attention to detail, and position duties must be completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner. Applicant must be a Bering Straits Native Corporation shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder to be considered for this position.

Shareholder and Stakeholder Outreach
Collaborate with the CARES Act support team to perform duties to ensure that BSNC’s shareholders and descendants are provided timely information on opportunities and benefits provided by BSNC through the CARES Act funding program.
Ensures that communication principles to build trust and credibility are incorporated into all messages.
Provides updates to BSNCs Media & Marketing, Shareholder Relations, Shareholder Development and Accounting departments and other internal BSNC departments related to the CARES Act funding program.
Develops and maintains a contact list and call logs related to the CARES Act funding program.
Represents BSNC at selected forums and meetings, as assigned, directly related to the CARES Act funding program.
Manages activities related to the planning, organizing and follow-through on events related to BSNCs CARES Act funding program. Directs participants in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with community and organizational leaders (as directed) to support the administration of the BSNC CARES Act program.
Program Administration
Develops reports to assist with analyzing organizational objectives and relevant financial data, program structure and objectives directly related to BSNCs CARES Act funding program.
Develops and documents CARES Act funding program procedures.
Maintains computer and manual filing systems related to the CARES Act funding program. Coordinates office procedures.
Carries out administrative duties in direct support of the CARES Act funding program, such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, faxing, etc. Prepares template agreements and emails on behalf of other office staff. Prepares accurate meeting minutes and monthly expense reports for managers and staff as directed.
Other duties as assigned. Must be flexible and available to perform a variety of duties in support of BSNCs CARES Act funding program.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Political Science, Communications, Journalism, or related field. A combination of education and experience may be used to meet educational requirements.
Experience with customer support and/or shareholder or stakeholder relations.
Experience with planning, organizing, and managing activities and events.
Valid state driver’s license
Experience administering special projects.
Verified shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder of BSNC.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe.
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Ability to travel as necessary and willing to work days, evenings, nights, overtime and weekends as required.
Working knowledge of ANCSA and Alaska Native history.
Knowledge of Bering Straits region, history, and culture.
Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to develop and implement projects using knowledge of good business practices, policies, and organization.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment to a variety of situations and collaborate effectively with other personnel at all levels of the organization to meet deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. Must have reliable transportation to/from work
and be eligible to work in the United States.
