Against that backdrop, we are seeking an experienced Strategy Advisor to help shape Humana's Associate Technology Experience. This person must be passionate about solving big problems, with expertise in developing strategy that meets the immediate needs of Humana associates, as well as setting the pace for the future-perfect state of associate experience in year to come.

The Strategy Advisor will report directly to the Director, Portfolio Management within the Associate Technology Experience Team (ATX).

The ATX Strategy Advisor is...

Strategic - able to see the bigger picture and understand the broader systemic implications in order to create and orchestrate experiences that are desirable for associates, viable for the business, operationally and technically feasible, while also pushing boundaries as much as possible to achieve best outcomes. They diligently use industry best practices and methods to uncover real business opportunities.

Collaborative - a generous contributor to a highly cross-functional team. They recognize and respect the deep expertise in others, leveraging it to help move the team forward.

Human-Centered - puts people at the center of everything they do, always seeking to deeply understand and empathize with them in the entire context of their lives. They are instrumental in devising strategy that creates useful and delightful experiences for associates' day-to-day work, as well as across varying products, services, and channels.

A Storyteller - an excellent communicator and comfortable presenting to colleagues, stakeholders and senior leaders. They can thoughtfully discuss and justify strategy design, give honest and effective feedback to others, and leverage their communication skills to influence and guide the broader strategy for Humana.

Key Responsibilities

The ATX Strategy Advisor will partner closely with the ATX leadership team, acting as an enabler for strategic initiatives, and ensuring execution of key priorities. You will be charged with building alignment with senior leaders, as well as the broader Humana organization to include planning, communicating, and operationalizing programs.

This role is a pivotal player requiring influence, initiative, creativity, and resolve to ensure the team is well positioned to execute. You will also serve as a program manager for special projects or events, driving both the strategy and execution.

Specifically, this person will be responsible for:

Driving development of Strategic Planning for the Associate Technology Experience Team, with attention to the larger systems view of how ATX strategy intersects with other IT and Business partners.

Understanding the current landscape of 'Digital Workplace' and 'Future of Work' best practices within the healthcare industry and across the broader scope of industries overall.

Facilitating a regular strategic planning processes that ensures alignment of all individual ATX Product Strategies align in a broader, single, and clearly articulated strategic plan that can be tracked to within the organizational Objectives & Key Results structure employed by the Humana enterprise.

Driving implementation of multiple, highly complex project/program initiatives typically requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.

Having a 'get-it-done-ed-ness' attitude and approach to all she/he does. This person should be extremely capable at 'making things happen.'

Developing deep relationships with both IT and Business areas (including HR, product-specific business segments, etc.) within Humana to understand business needs and how current and future Digital Workplace and Future of Work strategies would both positively and negatively impact productivity, effectiveness, and overall business goals.

Understanding Humana's current working landscape (WAH, In-Office, Agile) and how that current work standard is being impacted by both internal and external forces.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve program and project milestones within established timeframes.

Ensuring consistent visibility within program and project teams by monitoring and reporting business objectives, program/project achievements, and key indicators.

Communicating with project stakeholders and executive/senior management, gaining buy-in and generating broad support for those plans; as well as providing insight on issues through root cause analyses.

Managing ambiguity and consistently seeking to drive clarity amongst project stakeholders.

Working with executive management to establish a strategic and operational framework that establishes enables short and long-term business goals and key results.

Developing specific processes to manage the business' strategic and operational planning process.

Partnering with senior-level leaders across functions and channels to develop near- and long-term visions and roadmaps and working with business leaders to manage the transition from strategy to execution.

Identifying and taking on ad hoc strategic projects - everything from defining new opportunities to executing key initiatives, and closing the gaps between ATX and impacted partners (both IT and Business).

Key Candidate Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategic Planning, Strategic Management, or equivalent experience in a related field

2 years of experience consulting or influencing executives

5 years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, Communications or similar experience

A strong portfolio demonstrating an understanding of end-to-end strategy design, development, and execution

Proven record of seamless execution of complex projects

Exceptionally strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong executive presence and proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Demonstrated capability to navigate a fast paced environment; Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable

Experience influencing change and quantifying the impact and value of that change

Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Exceptional listening skills

Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues and applying sound judgment

Comfort dealing with ambiguity and distilling to executable actions

High self-initiative, commitment, and follow through

Strong team player, able to build and leverage relationships across the organization

Preferred Skills

Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field

10 years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, or Communications

Experience driving business transformations

Experience working across multiple functions - including Program Management, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Risk and Compliance, Legal and HR
