Facilities Maintenance Weekend Shift

Profile

Position Goal:

This position will lead a variety of technical tasks relative to facility maintenance, provide technical expertise to the overall operation, ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory ordinances, codes and laws. This person will work our Weekend Shift, working 4--10hr days, Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday (6am-4:30pm).

Position Requirements:

Essential Duties:

Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.

Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.

Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.

Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.

Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.

Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.

Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence and/or memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor in a collaborative nature.

Other Job Requirements:

High School Diploma/ GED

3 to 5 years in an industrial setting

Knowledge of 277 & 480 voltage

Flexible to work 2nd shift between the hours of 3 PM and 1:00AM Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 hour days.

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must provide proof of right to work in the US

Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, may include weekends

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours

Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely

Must be able to work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 40 feet

Must be willing and able to work on heavy equipment, such as high pickers, with extend to heights as tall as 26 feet as part of their primary function

Regular and reliable attendance

Must be skilled at WMS & MSOffice/excel and word

Successful completion of a post offer criminal background check

Work Environment:

Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts

Noise level varies and can be loud

Temperature in the fulfillment center may vary between 40 and 95 degrees, and will occasionally exceed 100 degrees
