Compliance Specialist
Duties: The candidate will oversee and administer the University's anonymous reporting systems including the “ethics hotline,” assuring the proper and satisfactory assignment, completion and documentation of all reported matters. Implement a consistent and professional case management process that includes standard investigation processes and templates for the conduct of compliance investigations across the University, insures consistent investigative record creation, retention and destruction schedules, affords fairness for all parties involved in compliance investigations. Create training and educational materials so as to provide clear instruction and guidance to each department or unit involved in compliance investigations. Consult with all University units on investigative questions, processes and issues. Personally assist with, and, in certain select circumstances, conduct investigations. Develop metrics to measure the progress and success of the investigative program. Review and update procedures based on current best practices, legal updates, and/or policy compliance. In addition, this position will work with other Ethics and Compliance professionals as well as Human Resources, Risk Management, General Counsel, Internal Audit. Other applicable functions to recommend and apply updates to investigative policies, processes and practices.
