Litigation and Employment Counsel
Duties: Managing class and individual commercial and employment litigation for the Company and its subsidiaries (substantive areas include general commercial, employment, consumer, landlord/tenant, intellectual property including copyright, trademarks and patents and construction disputes.). Providing regular reports to the Vice President - Litigation and relevant management of all litigation and related matters. Assisting outside counsel in responding to discovery and developing defense strategies including consideration of early resolution. Reviewing and assist in the preparation of procedural and substantive motions. Assisting in the preparation of witnesses for deposition or trial. Attending depositions of Company witnesses. Attend meditations, arbitrations and trials. Responding to non-party discovery for the Company and its subsidiaries. Assisting the Vice President - Litigation in quarterly reporting responsibilities and reporting to auditors as those relate to litigation for the Company. Assisting the Senior Employment Counsel in internal investigations, responding to EEOC claims and counseling the Company and its subsidiaries on employment issues including leaves and accommodations.
