Global Tools and Storage is currently seeking candidates for an Inventory Clerk based in Brewster, NY. Major Responsibilities: * Ensure that daily cycle counts are performed, identified problems and determine root causes * Coordinates physical inventory process and cycle counts * Monitoring, tracking, reporting and correction of issues noted with inventory * Periodic balancing of inventory reports to physical counts * Produce various inventory WMS reports used by other departments within the Company * Participate in annual physical inventory and month end activities * Perform cycle/physical inventory counts * Effectively communicate with other departments and individuals at all levels of the organization * Identify problems in the warehouse inventory * Identify problems in the transfer system, conducts research to determine cause of problem * Recommends and takes corrective action * Perform cycle counts on discrepancies that may occur during the transfer process * Makes appropriate adjustments to correct locations/on-hand inventory balances * Helps to develop methods and procedures for the effective movement of inventory in the warehouse * Communicates with wave planning, concerning results of cycle counts, product information and the movement of product as deemed necessary * Helps to identify dispose damaged product in the warehouse * Assists in the returning of product to plant/vendor or scrapping * Provides product information to Team Lead/Supervisor/Manager * Disposes of damaged product in accordance to Company Policy * Perform other duties as requested, directed or assignedExperience/Qualifications: * Must be able to safely operate an order picker, high reach, sit down and rider equipment * This position requires frequent lifting, standing for long periods of time and walking long distances * Must have High School Diploma/GED * Knowledge of warehouse management system functionality * Excellent organizational and analytical skills * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals * General computer skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet (MS Office Suite products) * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence * Must be detail oriented and able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment * Familiarity with SAP preferred * Ability to solve problems * Ability to be customer service oriented * Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal and be a team playerLeadership Values:Courage & Innovation Bravely innovate without boundaries Generate and embrace new ideas Drive cutting-edge digital solutions Foster creativity for exponential growth.Agility & Performance Simplify to accelerate business results Anticipate, adapt to and lead changes Focus on the right things and take action Perform in ways that exceed expectationsInclusivity & Collaboration Respect and leverage all aspects of diversity Make decisions with an inclusive, global view Collaborate to amplify customer value Communicate to drive meaningful outcomes Integrity & Accountability Operate with highest ethical standards Be who you are, build trusted relationships Act with transparency and positive intent Live up to commitments and own the resultsIf lifting and moving boxes, etc. over 40 lbs. assistance is needed.Stanley Black & Decker is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from women, veterans, and minorities.65623BRCityAll qualified applicants to Stanley Black & Decker are considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran s status or any other protected characteristic.
