Teach Principles of Accounting II (
2311) face-to-face. This course is required of all majors in the College of Business.
There are two sections of this course requiring an instructor: Tue/Thu at 8:00–9:15 am and Tue/Thu at 9:25–10:40 am.
•There are usually 45 or fewer students enrolled in the course.
•Due to the changing nature of Covid-19, face-to-face instructors should be prepared to pivot to an online course in the event it is mandated by
Job Duties and Responsibilities
A face-to-face instructor is expected to do the following: (1) Prepare lectures for scheduled meeting times and be actively involved in the learning activities of the students in the course (e.g., engage in discussions, provide feedback/interventions, motivate students to be active in the course). (2) Respond to student contact in a timely manner. (3) Be available for direct contact with students (e.g., phone call, virtual meeting) if needed. (4) Cover the prescribed material and provide graded activities for this material. (5) Submit student grades by the required date at the end of the semester.
Required Education and/or Experience
Applicants for this position should hold at least a Master’s degree in accounting. Graduate degrees in related fields may apply if the applicant has accounting experience.
