Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong workers' compensation law background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. This role involves significant client interaction and requires strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction:
    • Open new files and make initial client contact.
    • Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the case.
    • Manage the client’s medical care and maintain constant communication with clients and providers.
    • Schedule and calendar medical appointments and explain procedures and documentation to clients.
  • Case Management:
    • Fully investigate each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents.
    • Enter pertinent information into the database.
    • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues.
    • Maintain contact with insurance companies.
    • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records.
    • Organize and maintain case files.
    • Prepare files to be submitted to demand writers.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in Worker's Compensation.
  • Skills:

    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors.
    • Capacity to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
    • Ability to work on the phones for extended periods.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity.
    • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus.
    • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Education and Certifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university.
    • Admission to the Florida Bar.
