Senior Labor Relations Manager
The candidate will interact with labor organizations representatives, school administrators and department heads for purposes of mid-term collective bargaining and collective bargaining agreement compliance. Negotiate and implement collective bargaining agreements, including participating in mid-term bargaining. Establish effective district-wide employee relations, advise administrators with respect to compliance with district collective bargaining agreements. Develop and maintain good working relationships with the district’s employee labor representatives. Counsel school and central administrators on requirements of collective bargaining agreements, performance management procedures and disciplinary policies and procedures for all employees. Collaborate with Talent, Law Departments and all levels of School administration and other stakeholders to establish, revise, update, and administer labor, employment, and human resources policies and guidelines. Train and advise staff at all levels of organization on labor matters including mediating/resolving grievances and employee discipline issues. Act as a liaison between the Office of Labor Relations, the Law Department, schools, and internal departments with respect to matters within area of responsibilities. Handle special projects and other related duties as assigned.
