VP and Deputy Gen Counsel
The candidate will be responsibility for all stages of the contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, and implementation of agreements. Relevant agreements to include a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, such as customer and vendor service and supply agreements, licenses, requests for proposal, technology agreements, professional service agreements, financing agreements, and commercial real property and equipment leases. Manage legal aspects of merger and acquisition transactions. Provide prompt, practical, and business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice to business clients across company locations and departments. Assist in managing claims, litigation, and employment matters, as the need arises. Provide legal guidance and training in support of the company’s compliance policies and initiatives. Apply problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk and foster long-term client relationships. Collaborate with and facilitate cross-functional decision-making among the legal department, risk management, finance, accounting, operations, human resources, IT and other internal teams.
