The Medicaid Operations Strategy Execution/Advancement Principal provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Strategy Execution/Advancement Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.

Responsibilities

The Medicaid Operations Strategy Execution/Advancement Principal leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.Primary responsibilities include:

Defining and building a repeatable model for Medicaid new state implementations, state contract reprocurements and plan acquisitions.

Evaluate current implementation delivery process identifying improvement opportunities, document proposed future state project delivery process and align key stakeholders to the vision.

Prioritize process improvement opportunities and develop plans to implement the identified changes.

Further define how we partner with internal shared services teams and implement processes for measuring and monitoring implementation activities.

Partner with the Medicaid PMO and Operations leaders to further define cross functional team process improvement and coordination.

Document Medicaid program implementation and PMO process playbook.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or 5 equivalent work experience

5 years of experience working in healthcare operations leading cross functional or implementation teams

5 years of progressive leadership experience leading continuous improvement efforts, evaluating existing systems and implementing process improvements.

2 years Medicaid plan operations experience

Experience problem solving and consultation within complex environments

Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes

Act as a thought leader with strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team or internal division)

Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills; detailed and well organized

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, identifies process improvements, and fosters quality in others

Preferred Qualifications

2 years Health Plan integration experience

Working Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies
