Senior Associate, Compensation & Benefits, Washington National Tax
The candidate will assist clients and RSM professionals across the firm with respect to everything compensation related including executive compensation, fringe benefits, and other payroll-related tax issues with a focus in equity and transaction-related compensation issues. Research, address, and consult on issues specific to employee benefits and compensation and prepare related written communications. Draft internal and external tax communications discussing new developments regarding compensation and benefit tax matters. Work with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other technical matters such as corporate taxation and partnerships. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. License CPA or J.D./LL.M. with interest in Compensation & Benefits is preferred. Master’s degree in Tax or LL.M is preferred. Should preferably have 2+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, M&A, payroll or federal taxation.
