Manager, Licensing and Compliance
The candidate will lead the team in the processing of Pharmacy, DEA, Business, Adult Beverage, and other license applications, ensuring compliance with requirements and due dates. Review license applications and approve payment requests as required and assist team members with critical issues/escalations. Research and interpret licensing rules and regulations required to operate pharmacy and retail operations. Contact Boards of Pharmacies and other licensing agencies to clarify licensing requirements or to address compliance issues and escalations. Meet with various Walgreens Departments (e.g. Corp and Regulatory Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Store Operations, Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Affairs, etc.) to understand company initiatives and recommend licensing requirements needed to support initiatives. Maintain operational excellence utilizing continuous improvement, performance metrics and process flows. Mentor, coach, and develop employees through orientation, training, the establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation.
