The candidate will handle duties that include: Create instructional materials for the bar review program, such as content study plans, practice questions, video scripts and graphics. Develop and maintain academic expertise in assigned subject areas for the bar program. Perform legal research to ensure accuracy of course content. Work with law professors and other subject matter experts to create and edit program content. Review program content for clarity and legal accuracy. Edit new materials and revise current materials using firm’s style guide, as well as Chicago Style. Collaborate as appropriate with instructional designer on program content and pedagogy. Organize and edit course content for grammar, punctuation and consistency of style. Must have Degree from an ABA-accredited law school and strong academic record. Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required. Must have excellent legal research and writing skills. Should preferably have 5+ years of editing experience, preferably in legal or academic environment. Should preferably have significant writing experience and proficiency with the Chicago Manual of Style. Experience with online or e-learning management systems is preferred. Prior teaching experience, clerkship with a federal judge, or substantive legal publication. Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Social Sciences, Communications, Journalism or other related field is required. Must have exceptional communication skills.
