JOB DESCRIPTION Provide medical services and treatments to patients within the scope of professional training, experience, licensure, and granted medical privileges. Examine patients and prepare medical histories; diagnose patients, and administer, prescribe, and order indicated and required medical services, treatments, evaluations and procedures; provide medical advice, guidance, and instruction to patients; prepare summaries, evaluations, medical records and other medial documentation. Assists Medical Director with clinical oversight and leadership. Ensures quality care from staff through quality improvement, setting guidelines and expectations and Peer Review. Supervises, manages, directs, or oversees clinical activities related to the patientcare teams. • Supervises, provides guidance and discipline to the staff within assigned area. Maintains Medical License, Certifications, and Credentials Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes plus 4 years clinical experience in an ambulatory care clinic or similar practice, urgent care or private practice. (Note: Competition of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.) Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice from a board that is a member of the American Board of Specialists or become Board Certified within one year of hire date.
