Faculty Legal Assistant
The candidate will provide legal administrative support to members of the faculty of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. by managing the workload and prioritizing the needs for an assigned group of professors. Will manage the workload and prioritize the needs of an assigned group of professors and work independently with them to ensure that the workflow of each professor is on schedule. Maintain in-depth knowledge of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, accounting, database software programs, Westlaw/Lexis Nexis, seating and photo chart software, and printer functions so as to perform highly sophisticated tasks and make maximum use of the computer systems available. Enter assorted types of information on a computer with a minimum of errors and maximum efficiency: correspondence, legal documents, course assignments, articles, manuscripts, examinations and highly confidential material for assigned professors. Create and maintain course web pages each semester for classes taught by the assigned faculty. Stay current with the most recent web publishing tool that the Law School provides. Provide assistance, in cooperation with the Graphics Department, to reproduce and distribute materials for assigned professors. Assist professors on various committees and other meetings to coordinate room reservations, arrange catering and prepare materials. Provide assistance, in cooperation with the Office of the Registrar, to faculty to ensure an effective exam period by carefully following examination guidelines and proofing procedures. Assist faculty members and others as needed in the operation of software programs such as email, word-processing, spreadsheet, etc. Assist faculty with travel arrangements and prepare their travel expense report in accordance with firm’s travel policy. Reconcile monthly p-card purchases in a timely manner. Provide back-up support to other members of Faculty Support whose work load may be temporarily excessive, when directed by supervisor or designee. Serve as a resource for other faculty needs, questions and/or concerns and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
