Tax Manager – State and Local Tax Practice
Duties: As a member of the State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, oversee, manage, and complete tax projects; provide innovative state and local jurisdictional tax planning, consulting, compliance, refund reviews, and tax controversy audit support. Work closely with the Commercial and Private Client services to review multi-state returns and identify client issues and opportunities. Involved in the process of identifying, marketing, and implementing tax strategies for clients. Maintain active communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead change effectively. Conduct a primary and secondary review of complex tax returns and consulting projects. Lead their teams in the knowledge of software, processes, and workflows. Participate in the professional development of Associates and Senior Associates, which involves supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating performance.
