Tax Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters. Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. Experience at Am Law 200 firms is preferred. A high level of academic achievement is expected, and an LL.M. in tax law is advantageous. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive tax advice on partnership, real estate, and corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and agreements.
• Develop and execute effective tax planning and compliance strategies for clients.
• Conduct in-depth research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents to support client needs.
• Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to address complex tax issues.
• Represent clients in dealings and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on clients.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience.
• Experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters.
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Am Law 200 law firm experience preferred.
• High level of academic achievement.
• An LL.M. in tax law is helpful.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• An LL.M. in tax law is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
