Duties: Review client documents for specific case issues, preparation of chronologies, development of defense strategies, and identification of privileged content to be redacted prior to production. Draft pleadings, propounding discovery, discovery responses, subpoenas and other legal documents. Draft federal court removal documents, Rule 26 disclosures, and various discovery and pre-trial documents. Prepare exhibits and deposition testimony for court filings. Assist attorneys with depo, hearing and trial prep. Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences, as well as independently, while being productive and proactive, including supervising and delegating to junior team members Function as key support at trial and with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and trial exhibit lists, preparing witness and discovery binders with exhibits; assist with demonstratives; preparation of trial subpoenas, etc. Attendance at out of town trials may be required on occasion. Function as key support on discovery issues, including responding to discovery requests, document review, working in an electronic document review platform such as Relativity; redacting documents and preparing for document production; and preparing electronic productions via various methods, including secure file transfer protocol. Track and enter billable time daily, and promptly submit expense reports and vendor invoices. Coordinate with attorneys in all aspects of case management.
