Job Description
The Oregon plant of W. R. Grace & Co. is currently seeking an Associate Process Manager to enhance our growing, dynamic team. Reporting to the Process Technology Manager, this position is responsible for compilation and statistical analysis of production batch data, including control charts, linear regression analysis, and cycle time tracking.
Responsibilities
Support root cause investigation for process deviations and where first pass quality issues arise
Responsible for Productivity data entry
Managing all aspects of mature manufacturing projects once they’ve been established as commercial/stable
Project planning and implementation
Interface with customers, as appropriate, to provide regular project updates and confirm technical specifications for the process and/or product
Identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity within projects and help implement improvements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with a foundation in manufacturing facilities or process chemistry OR
5 years plant experience in a manufacturing facility
Good project management skills
Ability to professionally handle adverse situations when projects are not progressing as desired
Continuous mental and/or visual attention
Ability to interact and work effectively with all levels of the organization as well as customers
This position requires standing, sitting, walking, ascending and descending stairs
Work is typically performed under reasonably good working conditions
On call availability during off hours for any questions regarding current projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software preferred
Project management experience preferred
Strong understanding of organic chemistry preferred
Experience operating with cGMP principles preferred
