Review, analyze, edit, and negotiate various types of employment and labor-specific agreements, including agreements for temporary staffing and general labor, including for warehouse and security personnel, as well as drivers, direct hire and recruitment, human resources, and time and payroll-related software and technology. Advise on legal, strategic, and security-related matters with respect to privacy and data protection, as well as monitor relevant services, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws. Analyse, create, and direct employment and labor-related compliance initiatives and special projects. Draft internal Company workplace policies and labor-related agreements. Support Human Resources investigators with Whistleblower investigations and related reporting requirements. Assist with managing employment-related litigation, including coordinating correspondence, discovery, witness interviews, and document productions. Assume responsibility for internal shadow files for external legal matters. Prepare affidavits, legal correspondence, and other external documents. Conduct legal and factual research and present findings and conclusions with supporting analysis. Directly manage and coordinate all subpoena and other personnel-related requests and responses with an in-house paralegal. Stay abreast of relevant developments in labor and employment regulations and case law. Multi-task effectively, take initiative, exercise independent thought, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Professionally communicate with cross-functional stakeholders and support teams efficiently and effectively. Should have 5 years of combined experience as a law firm associate and/or in-house attorney with experience handling employment and labor contractual matters, compliance, litigation, and advice and counsel. Substantive knowledge of existing data privacy laws and regulations and incident response requirements. Substantive knowledge of FCRA, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, and Excel required. Electronic signature and other office-related software experience are strongly preferred. Proficiency in e-discovery platforms and technology. Relativity and Brainspace experiences are strongly preferred. Ability to manage responsibilities and work efficiently without oversight adapt to changing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines; excellent oral and written communication, legal issue spotting, and proofreading skills; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; strong references. be able to lean on, and learn from, his or her colleagues.
