Senior National Security Analyst - Regional Expert

The candidate will be to lead and conduct analysis of: adversary and partner technical capabilities and strategic perspectives; relevant U.S. doctrinal, policy, organizational, training, logistical, or command, control, and communications considerations; and other topics of concern to senior decision makers, all in areas related to national security, military, homeland defense, or related interagency operations. Will lead internal study efforts related to novel national security topics requiring development of new analytic approaches and/or technical/operational solutions. Develop analysis plans, identify effectiveness measures and data requirements, craft analytic approaches, interpret results, and document and communicate results to sponsors. Develop strategies for future studies and analysis throughout the Laboratory through engagement with current and potential sponsors and subject matter experts within the national security domain. Must have a Master's degree in a social science, political science, physical science, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or a related discipline. Should have experience supporting the DoD or U.S. government in applying a variety of analytic techniques to address operational or strategic issues. Must have a PhD in a social science, political science, physical science, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or a related discipline, or a JD.Degree. Have demonstrated leadership in studies and analysis experience with a UARC, FFRDC or equivalent.
