Overview
The Director of IT, Marketing Technology participates as a key member of our technology leadership team. This individual is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and management of marketing technology solutions and systems in support of Sprouts\u2019 marketing initiatives focused on customer loyalty and personalization. This individual collaborates closely with marketing and IT teams to identify, implement, and manage various marketing technology solutions that will help drive customer engagement and enhance the overall customer experience.
Essential Functions

Develop and execute a strategic vision for marketing technologies and systems that align with Sprouts overall customer loyalty and personalization strategy.
Work in close partnership with our marketing and loyalty teams to understand their technology needs, identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, and deliver innovative solutions that meet those needs.
Provide technical leadership and expertise in marketing technology, including staying relevant with latest trends and best practices.
Recommend strategies, investments and/or enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity of tools and technologies that serve Sprouts\u2019 marketing, loyalty and personalization goals.
Execute the technology deployment for Sprouts\u2019 first loyalty strategy and program.
Lead evaluation, selection, implementation and ongoing operational management of marketing technology tools and platforms including loyalty & personalization platforms, \u201cMarTech\u201d automation, content management systems (CMS), social media management systems, and marketing data/analytics systems.
Collaborate with IT counterparts to ensure that marketing technology solutions are architecturally sound in design and resilience, integrated effectively with other IT systems, comply with IT security policies and standards, and follow IT governance processes.
Develop and manage relationships with external suppliers and partners, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely delivery of services and solutions.
Build and mentor a highly collaborative, high-performing team of IT professionals responsible for marketing technology operations, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development.
Develop and maintain documentation related to marketing technology solutions, including system configurations, user guides, and technical specifications.
Analyze marketing technology performance metrics, provide regular reporting to stakeholders, and use data-driven insights to optimize marketing technology solutions for better performance and ROI.
Manage a detailed marketing technology budget as part of our overall IT operations budget.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing technology. Share information and insights with internal teams and business partners to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 4 years of experience in marketing technology leadership or similar IT leadership roles.
Strong expertise in marketing technology solutions including loyalty & personalization platforms, customer data platforms (CDPs), MarTech automation, content management systems (CMS), social media management systems, and marketing data/analytics systems.
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; or equivalent additional work experience in a related discipline.
Experience with direct-to-consumer business.
Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing marketing technology solutions.
In-depth knowledge of IT security policies and best-practices, consumer data protection and governance processes (i.e.: CPRA), and experience in ensuring compliance with these requirements.
Experience in agile scrum or other similar iterative project management methodology, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget.
Professional certifications related to marketing technology desired.
