Weare looking for a sharp Tax Manager to join our Indirect Tax teamand take on new challenges with one of thelargestmultistate tax practices in the United States. What you ll do
Asan Indirect Tax Manager within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will providestate and local indirect tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to adiverse client base in various industry sectors. You will work directly withthe client, manage the tax engagement team, and be connected to a strongsupport system from firm Leadership to ensure you are set up for success inyour role. Responsibilities will include:
Maintainingand developing strong client relationships on various state and local indirect taxconsulting/compliance engagements.
Acting as a trusted business advisor toclients on a varietyof issues includingsales &use and excise tax overpayment reviews, tax implications of sales and purchasetransactions, audit defense services, nexus planning, and voluntary disclosures.
Researching and analyzing a wide range of taxissues and tax implications.
Managingengagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing.
Assisting with drafting and presenting newproposals to new and existing clients.
Providingleadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivationof the engagement team.
