The candidate will negotiate commercial transactions (e.g., real estate deals, asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, etc.). Will present land use applications before local town and municipal boards. Simplify and explain legal documents to clients. Efficiently draft, review, and manage a variety of contracts and legal documents. Close transactions. Prepare and manage litigation papers. Appear in court and at depositions. Manage multiple matters, transactions, and cases simultaneously. Participate in functions on behalf of clients and the firm. Must be Admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in good standing. Experience in government and/or litigation preferred.
