The Director, Strategy will be a key member of GE Digital’s Strategy and Business Development team, and will partner across GE Digital’s four business units to:

Develop and lead the strategic planning process for GE Digital

Analyze markets and perform deep customer immersion to ensure GE Digital’s strategic alignment with the biggest customer problems worth solving

Perform strategic analyses and scenario planning to understand market trends and anticipate disruptions

Prioritize and execute pipeline of GE Digital’s most important strategic initiatives

Leverage Lean principles to optimize our business strategy and ensure everything we do translates into value for our customers

Develop and drive best in class standard work for strategy throughout the business

Ideal candidates will have:

4-6 years of strategy experience including 2-4 years at a top strategy consulting firm

Technical undergraduate degree preferred; MBA or equivalent consulting experience

Strong interest in the Energy Transition, distributed and renewable energy, manufacturing technology, and digital business models

Software industry experience, particularly SaaS and cloud business models

A customer-first mindset - expertise in market and competitive research, including customer immersion and other primary research methods

Strong understanding of finance and accounting and financial modeling

Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels across the company

Based in San Francisco Bay Area a plus, but open to candidates in Boston or other US tech hubs

The salary range for this position is $180,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation. Available benefits include permissive time off and contribution to the company 401k match
