DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises department workflow to ensure optimum service levels are maintained.
Ensures company compliance with all quality assurance-related federal, state, and other regulatory bodies’ regulations.
Ensures products meet MSC quality assurance standards as defined by recognized standards.
Strives to improve MSC quality assurance programs to ensure optimum quality standards.
Maintains and monitors records of accuracy reports.
Responds to internal and external customers in a timely manner with the ability to be flexible when addressing those needs.
Shares “best practices” with other CFCs.
Promotes safe work practices.
Monitors errors and problems and recommends solutions to management.
Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC manager as defined in the MSC code of conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum two years managing associates is required.
Minimum of five years of quality experience required.
Metalworking / Machine shop experience preferred
Basic knowledge of MSC’s product offerings is required.
Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving and inventory is required.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
Knowledge of HAZMAT, MSDS and DOT requirements is required.
Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.
Lifting items up to 50 pounds required.
Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.
Position requires a valid states driver’s license and the ability to travel 10% of the time.
