Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated attorney to join its insurance defense team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters, including personal injury defense, with a collegial and supportive team. Duties:

• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Draft and revise legal documents, including recommendation letters and discovery responses.
• Communicate effectively with claims representatives and insured clients.
• Prepare and review trial documents and other case materials.
• Attend court hearings, motions, and other appearances.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and obtain guidance.
• Handle trial work, contingent on experience and readiness.

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to legal practice.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing case files.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
